Darbā izmantotas rotaļu smiltis, lai iegūtu pēc iespējas reālistiskāku piedzīvojuma skatu. Ūdens ir svarīgs gan lai izdotos celt smilšu pilis, gan lai spēlētos ar ūdeni un nomazgātu rociņas.
